Tony Alexander Stewart (born August 9, 1979) is a former American football tight end. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit Beyond the Locker. An organization whose mission is to help youth and athletes have better sense of self-awareness, empower them with self-worth and teach life skills through sports. Tony works to empower groups of athletes, students, and business professionals through different motivational and leadership presentations across the country. He also works as a lead consultant to the NFL in the Player Engagement Department. His most recent work as Founder/Executive Director of Beyond the Locker and his work with amateur and professional athletes received the attention of organizations and companies across the San Francisco Bay Area. The NFL, Oakland Raiders, UC Davis, Fremont Bank, Endicia, Fremont Unified School District and Kaiser Permanente are just a few organizations that have benefited from the work Tony started after his playing days were done. One of Tony’s most recent accolades for his work with leadership development was being awarded the first ever John C. Maxwell Leadership Award. He was 1 of nearly 3,000 nominees in 10 categories. ==High School Experience== Stewart played high school football at Allentown Central Catholic High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he earned first team All-American honors and played in the East Penn Conference (now known as the Lehigh Valley Conference), one of the premier high school football leagues in the nation. He received 30 scholarship offers after his junior season. His top choices were University of Miami, University of Michigan and Penn State University. Tony was also skilled at other sports. He played high school baseball and basketball.
